One Time at Dog Camp...

Setting: Kona

Characters:
Kim: Impartial.
Nina: Indifferent.
Carrie Bradshaw: In another world.





 







    Nina waiting at front door when Kim and Carrie Bradshaw enter.

Nina: (sputtering) Unbelievable! You took "fluffy" for an extra walk??

Kim: Yes. AFTER I walked the both of you.

Carrie Bradshaw: (sure of herself) Because I'M the favorite.

Nina: (dryly) I see how it is.

Kim: Carrie Bradshaw! Not true. You needed more exercise.

Nina: Me thinks thou dost protest too much.

Kim: When did you start quoting Shakespeare?

Nina: (mutters something inaudible)

Kim: What was that?

Carrie Bradshaw: What was that?

Nina: Quiet "Fluffy!" Look, all I am saying is that things need to be a little more fair around here.

Kim: Fine. Let's go. You and I will walk right now without Carrie Bradshaw. We'll walk to the pier and I'll let the little kids chase you like the did her. Then we'll hike back up the hill. You and your heart murmur. Then we'll go to the vet because you will have had another seizure.

    Long pause...

Nina: (to Carrie) Little kids...? Is that how it really happened?

Carrie Bradshaw: (excited) Oh yes! There was a little boy and a little girl and they were four years old both  of them and she had pigtails and they chased me and pretended like they were going to pull my tail so I ran after them and they screamed like a fun scream like they were on a roller coaster and they hugged me when they caught me and they chased me some more-

Nina: (to Kim) Wake me when the story is over (starts to amble off).

Carrie Bradshaw: (still rambling as she follows Nina) And omigosh it was so much fun and they squealed when I chased them and then they turned around and chased me then they caught me by the tail --

    Carrie Bradshaw walks in front of Nina- Nina stumbles in trying to avoid collision- trips over lint as she tries to regain a sense of balance-

Nina: I. Am. Fifteen. Dammit!

    Fade out as Carrie Bradshaw follows Nina out to balcony...

Carrie Bradshaw: And then one time, at dog camp...

Nina: (sputters) CAN it!

    Carrie cheerfully continues her story...
